Howaubi
Howaubi is a creative exploration in graphic design that blends color theory, geometric patterns, and optical illusions into a cohesive visual identity. Over 50 days, I designed 150 unique graphics, challenging myself to push the boundaries of abstraction and structured design. Each piece contributed to an evolving artistic language that informed the larger brand vision of Howaubi.
Challenge
The challenge was to maintain both quality and consistency while creating three graphics per day for 50 days. To structure this process, I rotated through a new color palette every five days, with each palette’s starting letter influencing the design direction. This system ensured a balance of experimentation and coherence, while also pushing me to explore new ideas daily.
Results
By the end of the project, I had built a library of 150 unique graphics, refining my skills in color relationships, optical effects, and compositional balance. This structured yet flexible approach enhanced my ability to generate high-quality work under constraints while also shaping the visual identity and artistic direction of Howaubi.

Process
1. Structured Workflow
• Set clear constraints: three graphics per day, five-day color cycles, letter-based prompts.
• Focused on color theory, abstraction, and pattern experimentation.
• Maintained a balance of spontaneity and structure to avoid creative stagnation.
2. Daily Execution
• Designed within a limited yet dynamic color palette to explore different visual effects.
• Experimented with geometric forms, illusions, and abstract patterns.
• Analyzed how color interactions influenced perception and contrast.
3. Review & Iteration
• Categorized and evaluated designs to identify the most visually compelling elements.
• Used insights from completed graphics to refine future design choices.
• Developed a cohesive archive of work, laying the groundwork for branding applications.
Conclusion
This project not only solidified Howaubi’s visual identity but also sharpened my ability to execute complex design systems efficiently. The structured but flexible approach helped me develop a scalable creative process, proving that constraints can drive innovation. Howaubi’s foundation in color theory, patterns, and conceptual prompts has influenced my broader design philosophy, reinforcing the importance of iteration, consistency, and experimentation in any creative endeavor.
